In the next version you’ll be able to send your selected units directly to a location by clicking on the minimap. This is something that has been on the wishlist for a while.
Mira wired up the minimap click events to issue move orders to selected units. On top of that, I added two pieces of feedback to make it feel complete.
First, the cursor changes to a move icon when hovering over the minimap while units are selected, so it is immediately clear that you can give orders there. Then, units play their acknowledgement sound when ordered via the minimap, the same feedback you get when clicking on the main viewport.
