Looking back…

I realized that asking for help is not the right way to go about it. If I don’t contribute to D2TM myself, how can I expect from others to do that for me?

Having said that.

I have been working on D2TM a few weeks now. I have been working on some features I really loved in other Dune clones and the recently released C&C Remastered.

But before that, I had to blow off the dust of this old project. Because, man , it has a lot of dust.

The first thing was to get to the point of the DEMO releases. Then slowly cherry-pick some changes from the unstable WIP releases. After that I started working again. There are 3 major features coming up:

  1. Support for higher resolutions
  2. Zooming
  3. Right-mouse click dragging
    1. which basically means it requires pixel perfect scrolling… so that also 🙂

More about this soon!

I also made sure the Github Repository of the project is now revised. There is a Project, where you can see the tickets I’m working on. Now and then I also post at the D2TM/Arrakis forums.

Stay tuned!

Not sure how things will end up with Musk taking over Twitter. Any alternatives out there I should look out for? Mastadon, sure, any others?

From Dune 2 to Warcraft, Total Annihilation to C&C and Starcraft to Age of Empires, there have been some truly ground-breaking real-time strategy games! But when did the genre reach its golden era? All this & more discussed in this fun @arcadeattackUK pod!

Health wise I am not improving (instead things get worse), this severely impacts family life stuff. I hope to see a bit of improvements in the coming weeks after taking drastic measures.
