Since v0.8.0 a good number of bugs have been squashed — some long-standing, some recently introduced. These fixes are available in our bleeding edge builds.
Unit behaviour
Fremen units spawning off the map
When triggering the Fremen special weapon, units could spawn on border cells outside the playable area, causing them to get stuck or behave erratically. Fixed — they now always spawn within the playable map bounds.
MCV could execute attack commands
Clicking an enemy with an MCV selected would cause it to attempt an attack, despite having no weapons. Non-attacking units like the MCV and harvester now correctly ignore attack orders.
Force-attack from out of range became a move command
When force-attacking a structure or cell from outside weapon range, the unit would move into range but then forget it was supposed to attack. It now correctly resumes the attack upon arrival.
Invalid unit shooting crash
Units could attempt to shoot at invalid or already-dead targets, leading to crashes. Mira tracked down and fixed several related cases here.
Sandworm crash on spawn
Creating sandworm units could crash the game due to a missing player assignment before the first log call. Fixed.
Starport
The starport had accumulated several bugs that are now all resolved:
- The delivery countdown continued ticking after the starport was destroyed
- Starport icons appeared available while a frigate was already en route
- The build list remained interactive after the starport was destroyed
- The order button rendered incorrectly when an order was pending or nothing was queued
Carryall
Mira fixed a crash related to carryall integration and corrected the carryall explosion behaviour.
